Today we proudly announce that we have rebranded into Viasat World. Viasat is the long standing brand of our portfolio of factual, movie, sport and digital entertainment channels across the world and by rebranding the business we bring our core even closer to our channels and products both on TV and online.
Viasat World and our international partners produce and distribute 27 pay TV channels in 47 countries across Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS, Turkey, Africa, Israel and the US. The content we offer our viewers encompasses everything from history and factual entertainment to movies and TV series. We also offer our viewers both traditional sports and content from the fast growing world of esports.
Viasat World has been one of the leading entertainment channel and content providers since 2003, and has been an independent company since October 2015. Before that, we were a subsidiary of Modern Times Group, the international digital entertainment group.
“Changing our corporate brand to Viasat World is a natural step in our evolution as an independent content provider. People all over the world enjoy our entertainment under the Viasat brands and the alignment of our corporate brand with our consumer brand will benefit both our business partners and our audiences by enabling us communicate in a simpler way” said Irina Gofman, Group President & CEO Viasat World. Our logotype and brand assets are available on our website, www.viasatworld.com.
Viasat World is an international entertainment business offering content via TV channels and online. Our brands include well established and popular international entertainment brands like Viasat Explore, Viasat Nature and Viasat History. We also own and operate the TV1000 brand, one of the most recognisable and proven movie channel brands in Russia and Eastern Europe.
