Viasat World celebrates eight gold and silver award wins!

International entertainment company, Viasat World, is hugely proud to have won no less than eight prestigious awards collected at the PromaxBDA, Global Excellence Awards, and last weeks Mediabrand Awards.  The industry accolades recognised the best creative campaigns for Viasat Explore, Viasat History, Viasat Nature, and TV1000 Premium HD.

Last week in Moscow at the Mediabrand Awards which celebrates the best of TV marketing,  promotions and design, Viasat World was up against Russia’s main free-to-air and pay-tv broadcasters, winning two first place and four second place awards. They picked up the first place honors for; Best Cable TV Promo, for Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia, and Best Design in Promo for the New Year Ident TV1000Premium HD. The team also collected four second place honors for; Best Cable TV Promo for Robot Wars: Rise of the Machine, Best Promo for Documentary, Analytical or New Programme for Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia, Best Design in Promo for their Penguins Idents, and Best Cable TV Promo, again for New Year TV1000Premium HD. The ident reflected the glossy, magical, stylish family values of the brand as it encompassed a myth involving a reindeer taking an epic journey across the sky. Flawless 3D in dark, dramatic, cinematic tones, cute animals, epic music and careful, textured, weighty sound design, all combined to create a Christmas story that intrigued and entertained.

At the PromaxBDA’s Global Excellence Awards in LA, the team received gold in the Best Work Never Seen category, for a Viasat Nature Sir David Attenborough, 90th Birthday Special promo. Whilst Viasat History picked up silver in the category, Key Art Poster Campaign, with Empire of the Zsars: Romanov Russia.  The successful campaign which gained three awards in total for creative marketing and promos, encompassed visually compelling imagery and video, that truly reflected the dramatic events behind the infamous Russian dynasty's rule.

Mediabrand and PromaxBDA, set the standards for the worldwide media marketing industry. Winning eight gold and silver accolades reflects Viasat World’s mission to bring intelligent content and inspiring creative to its audiences, in ambitious, fresh and innovative ways.
