Viasat World Takes Content Package From Beyond Rights

Rights for new and returning series acquired to air on Viasat Explore, Viasat History and Viasat Nature across CEE, Nordics and Russia & CIS
London, UK, 27 July 2021 – Leading international media company Viasat World today announces that it has signed a deal with global content distribution company Beyond Rights. Totalling 72 hours of premium quality content, the deal comprises new and returning series, including titles which will premiere for the first time in the CEE / Nordics / Russia & CIS regions, alongside firm favourites which will return to the broadcaster’s flagship channels.
The package includes three key series for Viasat Explore, which will further bolster the channel’s pipeline of content for its ‘Mates at Work’ strand. Bangers & Cash, Season 3, is a returning franchise following its successful launch in 2020 and will be a series premiere. Massive Engineering Mistakes, Season 3, is also a returning series, while Heavy Rescue: 401, Season 2, Season 3 and Season 4, is a brand new franchise for the channel, with Season 4 set to make its premiere.
For Viasat History, Countdown to War is a new three-part series looking at the countdown to World War II specifically through the eyes of Adolf Hitler. On Viasat Nature Aussie Snake Wranglers will follow the busiest snake catching team in Australia as they go head-to-head with some of the deadliest animals on the planet, and will debut alongside the channel’s recently acquired Australian-themed zoo programming. Both are brand new titles for the region. Viasat World has secured exclusive Pay-TV and Catch-up rights on all titles, in addition to some SVOD exclusives and FTV holdback periods as part of the deal.
